Community Audiology Clinic

CEID provides hearing screening and diagnostic services (including speech and language evaluations) and hearing aid dispensing services to newborns, infants, children, and adults.

CEID is approved by MediCal and California Children’s Services (CCS) to serve low-income and uninsured families who cannot afford the high cost of hearing screening and amplification. We also accept private pay patients.

Speech Therapy and Evaluation

CEID provides private speech therapy evaluation and services. Referrals are accepted from medical providers, case managers, and parents.

Parent Education and Support

We strive to meet the schedules of each family by providing lunch meetings, evening classes, weekend workshops, and individual home visits.

Medical Outreach and Training

CEID offers monthly on site rotation training to pediatric residents and medical providers from three teaching hospitals (UC San Francisco, Children's Hospital-Oakland, and Kaiser Permanente) about the importance of diagnosing deafness at birth, timely referrals, and effective early intervention services.
