Checklist for Hearing Development
No baby is too young to have a hearing test. Nearly 1 out of 350 babies is born with a significant hearing loss. Others become deaf from childhood illnesses or injuries. Hearing can be tested during the first few hours of life. Listening and language training can begin immediately, if and when the loss is diagnosed early.
