The CEID Legacy Fund was established in 2013 as part of the executive transition of the founder of the Center for Early Intervention on Deafness (CEID). In creating CEID 40 years ago, Jill Ellis understood the needs of very young children who are deaf or hard of hearing and of their families. Today, under the leadership of Executive Director Cindy Dickeson, CEID is a nationally recognized, multi-faceted nonprofit that continues to serve nearly 1,200 children and families each year.
The CEID Legacy Fund offers a way to provide support that will grow and sustain CEID, ensuring CEID’s services will ever be denied. It will support services to children for which no other funding is available. It will provide a stable future for facility improvements and staff development. It will honor the work of CEID’s visionary leader and guarantee that the needs of children who are deaf or hard of hearing will be heard and answered. A minimum tax-deductible donation of $5,000 is suggested but gifts of any amount are welcome and can be made as a multi-year pledge.
