Volunteers are very important to CEID and we depend on them greatly. We pride ourselves in providing a variety of volunteer opportunities, including but not limited to:
Clinical Assistance for our Audiology Department
Classroom Support for our Sunshine or DHH programs
Facility/Handy-Person (painting, gardening, other repair)
Fundraising and event planning
Translation services (ASL, Spanish)
If you have a professional skill or particular expertise that may be helpful, contact our Program Associate, Sharouk Aledlah, for more information about volunteering. Specific guidelines and information will be shared upon touring our program!
We proudly collaborate with Prospect Sierra Elementary school for our annual 3rd grade Buddy Volunteering program!
Through the years, we also work jointly with local and national programs such as Vanderbilt University, Berkeley City College's ASL Program and California School for the Deaf, Fremont's Work Study program to provide opportunities for young adults looking to navigate into Education, Audiology, Speech and Language, Nonprofit, or other related work! In addition to BCC and CSD-F, we have had wonderful volunteers from UC Berkeley, Berkeley High School, and our own Alumni!
We are open to connecting with any high school or college program. For more information please contact us!
